Radar Solutions:
Empowering Precision. Enabling Security.

01

All-Weather Resilience

Unlike LiDAR or optical sensors that fail in fog, rain, snow, or dust, Nanook operates in the X-band (9.4–9.5 GHz) spectrum, where atmospheric attenuation is minimal. Dual-polarization channels and advanced clutter-rejection algorithms ensure that even in heavy rain (>20 mm/hr) or dense fog, Nanook maintains >90% detection probability at operational ranges. This makes it ideal for airports, ports, and borders where weather cannot interrupt surveillance.

02

Instant-On Reliability

Traditional magnetron-based radars require several minutes of warm-up and frequent calibration, leading to downtime and delayed response. Nanook’s solid-state FMCW design is “instant-on,” meaning it is ready the moment power is applied. With an MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of over 50,000 hours, it offers continuous 24/7 operation with minimal maintenance. This reliability reduces lifecycle costs and ensures mission-critical readiness at all times.

03

High Detection Probability

Nanook is engineered to detect targets across a broad size spectrum:

  • Small UAVs: Detects drones with Radar Cross Sections (RCS) between 0.1 m² and 1 m² at 400 m, achieving Pd > 0.95 even in adverse weather.

  • Aircraft & Vessels: Maintains Pd > 0.99 for manned aircraft and maritime vessels at ranges up to 48 NM.
With AI-based classification, Nanook ensures that legitimate threats are reliably detected while minimizing false positives.

04

Multi-Radar Fusion

Where standalone radars leave blind spots, Nanook excels with multi-radar deployments. Using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithms, Nanook calculates the optimal placement of radar nodes to eliminate coverage gaps. GPS/PTP synchronization and point cloud fusion (PCL/OpenFusion) allow multiple radar feeds to merge into a single, seamless situational awareness display. Whether monitoring a single airport perimeter or building a national UAV defense grid, Nanook scales effortlessly.

Multi-Layered Architecture: Flexibility and Versatility

Nanook Radar Solutions is a solid-state FMCW radar platform engineered to detect, classify, and track small UAVs, aircraft, and maritime targets with unmatched reliability. Built for all-weather performance and instant-on operation, Nanook integrates multi-radar fusion, ADS-B decoding, and AI-driven classification into a unified mission control platform.
