Our distributed storage middleware is built in the user space (as an app, no changes to the OS) of mobile, portable and embedded devices. When activated, it transforms a device into a storage node of an ad-hoc storage service (made by the other devices running the same middleware). The current version of the middleware exploits the HEAVEN communication middleware to coordinate the operations of the multiple devices running the distributed database service.

On the basis of the proprietary HEAVEN framework, Humanitas Solutions has developed a long-range WiFi wireless technology based interface.
This long-range connectivity can be leveraged to offer up to 100 Mbps of bandwidth between multiple sites/restricted regions of up to 100 km of distance.
Useful contexts
Two emergency teams deployed in the field
Two field hospitals
Two islands in the Pacific
Two governmental buildings
These long-range communication links can also be aggregated within bundles of multiple interfaces to increase the overall bandwidth. They enable synergistic ground-to-air, ground-to-space and air-to-space communications.
Underlaid with the HEAVEN framework, users can easily get connected with their current mobile phones or tablets. Moreover, the long-range network can easily include nearby mobile devices within a range, while taking into account all the due authorizations and permissions required to preserve privacy and anonymity.
This can be used for additional data collection and analysis, further extending the ability to extract insights and make informed decisions.
